A. Nova Hardbanding Lawsuit: Unpaid Overtime Claim Basics

The Siegel Law Group and Lee & Braziel have filed a lawsuit against Nova Hardbanding, LLC (“Nova Hardbanding”). The Law Firms brought the lawsuit on behalf of former and current Nova Hardbanding drill pipe inspectors, hardbanders, hardbander operators, inspection helpers, inspectors, and inspector helpers (“Field Employees”) that:

  • Nova misclassified as exempt from overtime;
  • Paid on a salary or salary plus bonus basis; and
  • Did not receive overtime compensation for work over 40 hours a week were paid a salary

B. Nova Hardbanding Lawsuit: Eligibility

We believe all Nova Hardbanding Field Employees paid on a salary basis are eligible to join the Nova Hardbanding Lawsuit if they worked for Nova Hardbanding over the past three (3) years. We encourage all current and former Field Employees employed by Nova Hardbanding over the past three years to contact us to aid with our investigation of this Lawsuit.

C. Nova Hardbanding Lawsuit: Potential Stakes Involved

Federal wage law permits eligible current and former employees to potentially recover double the amount of their unpaid overtime wages. Based on estimates from our clients, we believe that Nova Harbanding field employees paid on a salary plus bonus basis may be due over a thousand dollars per pay period of their employment if Nova Hardbanding violated federal overtime law.
