Cafe Istanbul Lawsuit

The Siegel Law Group, Lee & Braziel LLP & the Equal Justice Center have filed two lawsuits (“Cafe Istanbul Lawsuit”) against Dallas based Cafe Istanbul and its owner Erol Girgin. The Cafe Istanbul lawsuits claim that Cafe Istanbul doctored time records and failed to pay its hourly workers overtime in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Cafe Istanbul has a record of labor violations. A 2007 investigation done by the Department of Labor’ wage and hour division resulted in finding Cafe Istanbul guilty of 16 case violations in 2009.

The Siegel Law Group filed the first lawsuit against Cafe Istanbul on April 20, 2015. The Equal Justice Center filed the Second Cafe Istanbul lawsuit on June 18, 2015. The Siegel Law Group, Lee & Braziel LLP and the Equal Justice Center are currently working on consolidating the cases and pursuing a collective action against Cafe Istanbul. Dustin Paschal Represents Cafe Istanbul Despite Department of Labor Finding that Cafe Istanbul Committed 16 Previous Violations
